The Huawei Mate 10 Pro was presented last year on 16 October with the Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Lite at a press event in Munich. The Pro variant is the most expensive and powerful of the three. It looks beautiful and shiny, but what about the build quality?JerryRigEverything took the subjected flagship to his infamous bend and scratch test. Nonetheless, it is interesting to see how incredibly strong Mate 10 Pro is.
JerryRigEverything is famous for bad handling of smartphones. According to him, that is the only way to test them for the build quality and durability. As always, he starts his video with the scratch test. With several keys, he tries to damage the glass to find out how sturdy the screen is. As you know that Huawei gives its flagship a screen protector and Nelson removed it first. After lots of scratches, we see fingerprint sensor and screen touch works.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is the first flagship of the Chinese Manufacturer with an OLED display. And at last, he put a flame on it and only after 40 seconds, the screen starts to turn white, which proves that it is an OLED screen (LCD displays turn black when you heat them). The damage that you cause as a result is permanent.
Finally, the infamous bending test. Nelson significantly increases the pressure on both the front and the back. On the video, we see that he is bending a little bit, but that does not mean much. Even with the on / off button, traditionally a weak link in the design, the Mate 10 Pro does not show any scratch or crack after the bend test.
