LG Slowly Withdraws From The Smartphone Business

The LG for a long time has no luck with their smartphone models, should now be arrived at everyone. It was certainly due to gross management mistakes. And this seems to have led to consequences now because LG wants to change its smartphone strategy.

At the CES 2018, LG did not have a new smartphone at the start. But for this one gave an interesting interview, which one can only interpret so that LG actually wants to withdraw slowly from the Smartphone business.

For eleven consecutive quarters, LG has made no profit with the smartphone business. LG’s Vice Chairman Sung-jin Cho in a press conference at CES stated that “a rethink in terms of smartphone development and product announcement”. LG does not want to introduce smartphones in the future, just because of the rivals do. But we will present a smartphone when the time is right. One can, therefore, assume that there will be no fixed cycle. we want to develop more smartphone, which is much longer in use by the operator. And force this through different models variations. But will that help? Other manufacturers have failed in this strategy. This should probably be the expected, possible LG G7 is the last flagship under old premises.

LG G7 Specs

The LG G7 should be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with 6GB of RAM. The display will probably be same as LG V30, that is also called OLED. The IP68 standard is also on board, as well as dual cameras on the front and back as well as an FM radio and wireless charging. However, the LG G7 should appear only in mid-March 2018. And a sales start is supposed to be expected only on April 20.
