MediaTek unveiled its first narrow band Internet of Thing (NB-IoT) Soc, which is next generation high-end chipset providing a low power and cost-effective solution for a wide range (from 450 MHz to 1.2 GHz) of networking devices with ultra-high integration, making it ideal for home, urban, industrial or mobile applications.
MT2625 highly integrated NB-IoT modem digital signal processor, RF antenna and front-end analog baseband, combined with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers (MCU), pseudo-static random access memory (PSRAM), flash memory and power management unit (PMU). The MT2625 also incorporates a wide range of peripheral input and output interfaces including Secure Digital Input Output Module (SDIO), Universal Asynchronous Transmitter Transmitter (UART), I2C Transfer Protocol, I2S, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). The MT2625 features a compact package size and a small number of pins to meet the cost and volume requirements of the Internet of Things devices and helps manufacturers simplify their product design processes.
Based on The real-time operating system (RTOS), the MT2625 is easy to customize for a variety of programs such as home automation, cloud beacon, smart meter and multi-object media stationary or mobile applications.
