One of the brands that more expectation is creating for MWC 2017 was Nokia after his return to the ring with his own smartphones, where the new Nokia 5 was presented along with the other members of the mid-range.
The Nokia 5 comes with a 5.2-inch HD display, a Snapdragon 430 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a 13-megapixel main camera, a front-facing 8Mp camera, a fingerprint scanner and a 3000 mAh battery.
The smartphone is well weighted so it sits comfortably in the hand thanks to the smoothened edges. The phone has a good design that counts and makes it a very attractive phone. And it is because this Nokia 5 has a really nice and well-finished unibody metal body. On the front, we find the Nokia logo and the camera next to the sensors above and navigation buttons next to the fingerprint reader on the Home button. At the top, we have the mini jack plug, while underneath there is a discreet speaker and a micro USB port. On the back, we find the camera next to the LED flash in vertical layout.
Dimensions of Nokia 5 – 149.7 × 72.5 × 8 mm, with such dimensions it is slightly larger than the Huawei Honor 8.
Nokia 5 available in four different colors for purchase: copper, black, silver and blue
Nokia 5 is equipped with a 5.2-inch IPS-display with HD-resolution (720 × 1280 pixels) and a pixel density of 282 per inch. This resolution is optimal for 5 inches, but still, you can see the unevenness of the fonts and the fuzziness of the image. The screen received a protective Gorilla Glass, but it is not specified in which version.
The display of the phone offers an acceptable color gamut and high brightness (up to 500 nits). The Nokia 5 screen has a polarizing filter, which helps to reproduce the image on the display and is easy to read even in bright sunlight.
Nokia 5 has typical cameras at 13 and 8 MP. The rear camera is 13 MP with f/2.0 aperture, dual LED flash, 1.12-micron pixels, and phase focusing.
Despite the modest size of the Nokia 5, the smartphone received a similar to Nokia 6 Li-Ion 3,000 mAh battery. This is a typical indicator for such sizes, but here the smartphone can win due to the relatively low resolution of the screen, the “bare” Android and the entry-level processor.
Nokia 5 is equipped with eight-core Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 chipset, clock speed 1.4 GHz and GPU Adreno 505. It has 2 GB Ram and 16 GB internal memory which is expandable up to 256 GB via microSD card.
