Samsung remains one of the most important brands in the market and it shows in all ranges of phones. Today we will see the features of Samsung Galaxy J5 2017, one of the kings in the middle range which have a renewal for this year 2017 and it brings many new features.

This renewal of Samsung for the mid – range will be one of the best options we found in the whole market in terms of value for money. Last year, the Galaxy J5 2016, one of the best-selling smartphone of the year, thus Samsung returned to grow in the mid – range with a device that really had a good user experience.

I anticipate that the design is one of the best designs of this year. A hand gives the feeling that we are in front of a phone much more expensive than it looks, looking like a midrange premium smartphone. Its metallic finish and rounded edges leave us with a pleasant experience when using it.

In the front we find 5.2 inches screen which we will discuss later, the famous button Samsung Start-which disappeared in the Galaxy S8, which also makes fingerprint sensor and works really well. At the bottom, we found all connectors: micro USB and 3.5 mm jack. The negative point in this area is that we do not find a USB Type C, which if we can reproach at this point.

On the back, we found a metallic touch with different colors. In our case, the unit is golden but can also be found in black and blue. Otherwise, nothing to write: a design very good for a smartphone with a cut price.

The screen of the Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 has a Super AMOLED technology, and has a screen size 5.2 inches and has a resolution of 1080×720 pixels. Its pixel density reaches up to 282 dpi. As for its dimensions, we see that it is a more elongated mobile since it has 146.3 mm high by 71.3 mm wide and 7.8 mm thick.

The camera is one of the elements where we will notice the generation jump, especially on the front camera. Just as the Galaxy A5 2017 offered parity in front and rear cameras, we also found it in the Galaxy J5 2017. A breath of fresh air to the selfie camera, which goes from the 5 megapixels of previous generations.

As for the aperture, we have f / 1.7 in the rear camera, next to the flash. An aperture that will allow good results even in low light. With the precedent of the Galaxy S7 camera, we can expect something very good for this Galaxy J5 2017. On the other hand, the front camera will have an aperture f / 1.9, which is not bad for doing selfies. In addition, it also includes flash.

The video quality offered by the Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 will be Full HD (1080 pixels), just like in the 2016 model. The recording will be done at 30 fps while playback at 60 fps.

Hardware and Software:
In terms of internal operation, the Samsung Galaxy J5 carries an Exynos 7870 eight-core 1.6 GHz chip and 2GB of RAM. It is a slight increase compared to the Galaxy J5 2016, but that power point is to be appreciated. The previous Galaxy J5 already had an agile operation, so we can only wait a little longer for this new version.

The internal storage is 16 GB, as in the J5 2016, and can also be expanded via microSD up to 256 GB. The previous model could only be extended up to 128 GB, that is a breakthrough.

As for the software, it will rely on Android 7 Nougat base. With this operating system, we will take advantage of functions such as grouped notifications or screen division. We can also download the latest version of the Samsung store, with the Galaxy Apps.
